Left 4 Dead 2 Patch En Route

Good news and bad news coming the Valve folks, creators of our favorite zombie killing romp. Well, the good news first is that AI controlled bots will be joining the mix, so if you have a team less than four people, prepare for some digital assistance. They’ve ramped up the AI from walking lobotomy patients to three stooges on banana peels so good news there. There’s also a ton of other little fixes that don’t plague the game but make for a better gameplay experience overall. … Read entire article »

Wanna Kill a Tank in Left 4 Dead 2? Use a Skillet.

In the original Left 4 Dead, killing the tank was a dicey affair. You really needed an auto-shotgun to the job which pretty much determined the team’s weapon choice in a versus match. When I first read about this, I immediately wrote it off as undoable. The last game had a similar achievement which turned out to be an exercise in frustration. As it turns out, this achievement isn’t nearly as hard as the other. In fact, with a good couple of gunners, you should be able to do it with ease. At least, in theory. … Read entire article »

Left 4 Dead 2 Mini Mustachio Achievement Guide

Many thanks to Jamie for sending this over. For some of us, this is the first weekend with Left 4 Dead 2. If you managed to give yourself a nice block of time to play the game, then it’s good time to work on your achievements. Here’s a small list that Jamie managed to compile regarding the elusive Mustachio achievements. If you’re the type of person who would rather discover these achievements, then read no more.  I gotta say … the gnome achievement looks insane. Left 4 Dead 2 Hint: Gong Show Achievement In part 4 of Dark Carnival, look for a strength-testing game in the first area after exiting the safe room. … Read entire article »
