Splitting Chest Zombie
Here’s a new site that I just stumbled into today. Aptly titled Feed Me Brains, this site is all about zombies and today’s post was very cool one indeed. Actually, beyond cool. In Massachusetts’ parlance – wicked cool. In short, we have a splitting chest zombie. The zombie itself is supposed to be a man, but maybe it’s the hair or the way the arms are positioned, but I just can’t help but to think of this prop as a woman who tanned herself to death and now in her new life, she is undertaking a life as a burlesque zombie, stripping her off her skin instead of clothes. Or maybe I need to get out more often. … Read entire article »

Zombie T-Shirts
I’m feeling much better today. Thanks all for the kind words. The doctor tells me it was a stomach virus, but truth be told, I opened abandoned canister from the military that was stashed in my basement. The first twenty four hours were brutal but now I feel great although I don’t mind eating a brain now and then. Here’s a shout out to Tiffany for sending me this link. It’s one thing to say you kill zombies, but you’re in a whole different league to show people the result of your activities. Called an Intramural Zombie Hunter, these shirts evoke the good feelings of intra-college rivalries mixed with the pleasures of bat on zombie head action. Here’s the formal description: … Read entire article »

Zombie Horde for Sale
In most cases, if you turned a street corner and walked straight into a zombie horde, the last thing you would want to do is pack them in box and take them home with you. Then again, if you are such a person, Kokomo Toys, the creator of the now defunct Archives of the Dead and the seller of the six foot zombie is selling an entire horde of deadies for five hundred bucks. … Read entire article »

Lifesize Jason Vorhees
The holiday season may be over, but it’s never too late to give the gift of an unstoppable killing machine. Just put the robotic Jason in the giftee’s closet, turn Jason “on” (the electronic way, not the Barry White way), and wait for the screams to begin. This life size figure stands over six feet tall, sports a fake machete, and movable eyes. It even whispers the famous Friday the 13th creep out music, “Cha, Cha, Cha – Ahh, Ahh, Ahh”. Thankfully, you can take him apart for easy storage (just like in the films). Alas, Jason doesn’t come cheap. Clocking a two hundred and fifty dollar price tag, this serial killer is way beyond the realm of impulse purchase and deep in the territory of … Read entire article »

Cuddly Rigor Mortis, or Why I Let These Cute Little Zombies Chew My Face Off
For those of you with nieces and nephews with a dark bent, or if you feel the need to snuggle with your own half alive, half dead zombie plush toy, you should check out this little guy. Believe it or not, but he even comes with his own birth certificate which is ironic. I’m guessing the birth certificate is really a statement of authenticity being these dolls are probably handmade. The funny thing about this shop is that they are having sale right now. The plush zombie used to cost 39.95, but now you can pick it up at a low price of 39.95. That’s a saving of no cents than you can take straight to the bank! This zombie is based off a collection of … Read entire article »

Dismemberment Zombie
With December just around the corner, we are entering the time of gift giving. Alas, we are also entering the time of ulcer receiving. For some, this is the busiest time of year coupled with all the stress produced from traveling from one side of the globe to the other in order to be basted by Uncle Vernon’s bizarre politics or Aunt Betty’s uncontrollable flatulence. It’s the holidays and if killing were legal, then there would be no lines at the airport this time of year. Being we don’t live in a bizzaro world, we have to make do with what we got. Introducing the dismemberment zombie. I really need this on my desk at work. There would be no better feeling than ripping off … Read entire article »

Shaun of the Dead’s Ed — as a Zombie
Awhile back, I found an awesome Shaun of the Dead figure that would be perfect in every living room. Today, I just found the other half of the equation. Ed. Yes, he’s dead but as we know, he still plays video games. This is a pretty cool figure. I gotta say, I like the chains on his hands and legs. And the garden gnome is a nice touch. Zombie Action Figure
With the holiday season just around the corner, it’s a great time to pick up some zombie creations for your zombie loving friends or family. Or even better, introduce the youngings to our wonderful flesh eating friends. This figure is pretty cool. If you check out a different angle of it, you’ll see that the zombie’s victim has a nasty gash running the length of his throat. Also the torn mouth smile of our zombie friend makes me smile a little. Biohazard : Figure Collection Vol.2 Zombie (yesasia.com … Read entire article »

Skateboard Zombie Costume
A little late for Halloween, but if you want to get your child dressed up for Thanksgiving dinner, this is definitely the outfit. This outfit depicts a skateboarding zombie although the skateboard isn’t included nor is the boy who is supposed to wear it. Since getting bit by a zombie, this skateboarding punk is much nicer. Granted, he will still eat you limb from limb, but that’s actually generous compared to when he was alive. Boys Zombie Skate Punk – Medium … Read entire article »

Spider Head Mini Bust
Do you have an upcoming anniversary and need to find the perfect gift? Or how about an upcoming baby shower with an already filled registry. Have no fear. The perfect gift is here. As seen in the movie The Thing, this bust replicates the thing’s hasty retreat as the head tore off the body, grew legs, and scuttled out of danger. Of course, this scene was a little bit disturbing due to my irrational fear of disembodied heads, and of course, spiders. Note … if you are a fan of The Thing (like me) and if you are interested in reading the short story that it was based, check out Who Goes There? by John Campbell (pdf). It’s a great read. Introducing the Bub Action Figure
If there’s Who’s Who in Zombieland, the first entry would be Bub. He’s probably my favorite zombie, but more importantly, at least to me, he was my utmost limit for the whole “sentient zombie” thing. Land of the Dead took it too far for me. I’ll like my zombies dumb and while there might be fragments of their previous self, I like those fragments to be obscured by the whole zombie process. Here’s the description of the figure: Bubâs accessories include headphones & tape recorder, razor, gun and reward bucket. Bub is listed as being the first figure in a Day of the Dead series. Easily the most memorable of a clambering horde of zombies, the infinitely sympathetic Bub had the noteworthy distinction of bringing virtually the highest moral … Read entire article »

Zombie Baby
I’m told that we all like babies. This may or may not be true, but one thing that brings out the warm heart of any of us is a zombie baby. Not because a zombie baby is cuter than a regular baby, but rather because a zombie baby will try to eat through your chest. This zombie baby is a puppet which would make for a hilarious gag post pregnancy for visiting friends and family. Zombie Baby (amazon.com … Read entire article »

Flyboy Action Figure
Maybe I’m one of the few people who felt that Dawn of the Dead’s Flyboy was kind of a weenie. Still, I felt bad when he got munched in that elevator and even though I knew he was screwed beyond belief, I half hoped he would manage to survive. At least, to escape. Alas, that was no the case and hence, this action figure for your enjoyment. As you can see, Flyboy still totes his gun with him, but you’ll notice that there is half of a person at his feet. Pretty cool. NECA Cult Classics Series 3 Action Figure Flyboy Zombie from “Dawn of the Dead” (amazon.com … Read entire article »
