For those of you just can’t get enough of aiming crosshairs over a Nazi zombie’s forehead, you’ll be happy to know that Nazi zombies are making a return in the upcoming version of Call of Duty. As of yet, there is scant information about this new play mode, only that it will include four maps and that if you get bitten in the game, someone from Activiion will be dispatched to your house to kill you, and then steal your wallet.

The key thing to note about this feature is that it is only available for people who buy the “hardened edition” of the game which retails for a cool eighty bucks. Otherwise, you’re out of luck until they offer the content as a paid add-on through XBox live. Would you pay an additional twenty bucks for a mode that only includes four maps? Have no fear — the edition also comes with a collectible medal which begs the questions — who in the hell collects this stuff?

I haven’t played Call of Duty: World at War but some of my buds raved about the zombie mode, stating it was the best part of the game. The fact the mode has been ported to the iPhone speaks of its continued success. I can’t blame Activision on trying to capitalize on the feature, but this reeks of overkill.

The sixty dollar price tag already killed my lust for new games outside of Left 4 Dead and Fallout. Eighty dollars is just throwing dirt on the coffin. And then there’s buying something from Activision which feels like selling your soul for a box of Milk Duds.

I think I will pass. Would you pay eighty bucks to kill Nazi zombies?
