Cinemassacre Visits Night of the Living Dead Cemetery

Cinemassacre Visits Night of the Living Dead CemeteryIn the past few years, Cinemassacre has become a bit of magnet for all types of geeks – video game geeks, film geeks, and yes, even board game geeks. The site is the brainchild of James Rolfe who took his film making skills and love of video games to the internet. He created the hilarious personality – the Angry Video Game Nerd – and reviewed video games that have not been released for twenty years. Filled with f-bombs and lots of frustrated beer swills, James has managed to captivate millions of viewers, channeling the controller smashing rage of anyone who has tried to play a poorly designed video game.

While the Angry Video Game Nerd is definitely the most popular part of Cinemassacre, he also reviews movies, video games, and even visits famous movie landmarks. James is a pretty meticulous guy who finds a lot of interesting connections between things so his videos can be pretty interesting, and even educational if you don’t mind the colorful language.

This weeks James visits the cemetery made famous by George Romero and walks through the graves, finding all the famous stones that were featured in the movie. What’s really cool about this video is that he adds the original footage with his own footage, giving you a sense at how that iconic cemetery has aged. What’s even cooler is that he plays the Night of the Living Dead soundtrack behind it.

This is a really cool video for the zombie lover. Do yourself a favor and take a look. It’s an awesome watch.

Side Note: if you find yourself enjoying that haunting music, you should check of 400 Lonely Things album Tonight of the Living Dead which is a recreation of that music. You can listen to clips on the 400 Lonely Things website. Give it a listen, but make sure you keep the lights on when you do.

My wife and I have been together about 10 years now and every time we are at or drive by a cemetery I do the “They’re coming to get you Barbara” bit and she just gives me looks like I am retarded. I made her watch the movie (finally) and I guess I never told her why I would do that bit at cemeteries and she just started laughing hysterically, when she saw it in the movie. Which just made me wonder what the hell has she been thinking all those years when I would do that. Anyways, Great video and breakdown of the cemetery, it was pretty entertaining.
