Left 4 Dead One – I Hate Mountains
In Valve’s original Left 4 Dead, hardcore biker Francis turns out to be quite a charmer in the fact that there is nothing he really likes. Walk into a train yard, and he mentions that he hates trains. Stroll into the hospital, and he lets everyone know his distaste for them. One has to wonder if there is anything that Francis does likes. Truth be told, some people have discovered that our pessimist biker enjoys both lasagna and the army. So I imagine if you told Francis that there is a new campaign for the original Left 4 Dead, he’d probably tell you that he would hate it which makes for a great title, “I Hate Mountains”. This campaign is a player created campaign but the big difference between this one and the countless others out there is the quality. From the article:
The less said about the campaign the better, as there are some great surprises in store. Reading the graffiti remains a fun diversion. What’s great about the campaign is how well all the sections flow into each other; the level of detail and thought put into the setting and the game’s flow is impressive. (I will note that there is a little more exploration than you may be used to from the official Left 4 Dead content.) We finished the campaign in around an hour and twenty minutes playing on Normal, and I can’t wait to play it again. This is a team to watch out for, and it would not shock us if they were picked up by a major studio.
Just note … this is for PC players only so if you only own an XBox version of the game, you’re out in the cold with only a cactus to lick. Btw …don’t ask me what that means.
