Age of Zombies Announced

Age of ZombiesIt has been two score and several days since George Romero redefined the concept of eating on the go and since that time, we’ve seen zombies pop up in a lot of different places. We’ve seen zombies in malls. Zombies in the park. We’ve seen zombies appear at parties, sporting events, and even the occasional wedding. Zombies have even made the great leap into space, giving weight the phrase, “this is one small brain for a man, one giant lunch for all zombiekind.” The one place we haven’t seen zombies is in the age of dinosaurs.

There’s a reason for this. The dinosaurs will eat them.

“Not so. Not so.” says creator of the upcoming game Age of Zombies which puts you, the shotgun you love, and a whole bunch of face eaters in a time travel machine. The concept of the game is to go back in time and kill things as opposed to staying in your current time and killing things. And yes, dinosaurs are included except they aren’t eating you but rather being eaten. By zombies, of course. It’d be a strange sight to see a gigantic megaton creature with razor sharp teeth running from a five foot zombie with a moaning lisp, but I’m guessing it’s how bugs probably feel about us.

The game is coming out for the PS3 and the PSP later this month for the wallet busting price of five bucks. Don’t these developers understand we have a recession going on here? They should really make the game for free. And send me a PSP so I can review it. And maybe throw in a PS3 while they are at it. And while I review it, I need to be in a cushy hotel with dim lights and a wet bar that would get you drunk just by looking at it. Yeah. That sounds about right.

  1. Yeah, I know! I’ve been trying to talk people into giving me all my fun stuff for free, too!!! I mean, I’m awesome. That should be enough.

    1. I believe that being awesome translates into receiving at least a thousand dollars worth of consumer electronic equipment. Er, so I’ve been told.
