The Italian Zombie Movie, aka Embrace the Cheese

The Italian Zombie MovieI’ve seen a lot of strange movies in my day. One of the more memorable ones involved a transsexual alien who moves into a house with two lesbians which results in him eating the both of them. Fittingly, it was an Italian film. I remember just staring at the television set long after the credits had completed in a state of shock. The movie was bad, shockingly so, but the truly horrible thing was that I had managed to sit through the entire thing and was somehow be entertained by it.

Flash forward fifteen years into the future and we have The Italian Zombie Movie. This movie knows it stepped in a pile of pooh but instead of scraping its shoe on a rock, the builds a bigger pile then jumps into it, inviting the two scantily cheerleaders to join it. This is a movie that pushes the cheese dial to stringy mozarella. After watching the trailer, I found myself in the same mental state as the transexual lesbian alien movie, except this movie achieved this mental white out in the course of two minutes.

Here’s director’s take on the subject:

fewer and farther between than say, good vampire movies, or good werewolf films. And of all the film genres, the zombie movie has the most zero-budget, made-in-my-backyard and shot-on-video entries (and by a very wide margin). That’s fine, but if you’re going to make a movie in your backyard, why not put a little effort into it at least? That’s what we did. We hope that “Zombie Abomination and Zombie Atrocity – The Italian Zombie Movie Parts 1 & 2″ will inspire all backyard filmakers to aspire to far greater heights. Our motto is this: “If you’re going to make a movie in your backyard, then make it an EPIC!”

I’ll give this a looksie and report back. Wish me luck :)

Looks cheesitastic. Maybe I’ll give it a watch. It can’t be any worse than Zombie Diaries, right?

Also, “was he wearing sunglasses at night?”
