Tonight of the Living Dead Available Again

Tonight of the Living DeadForty years ago, George Romero released his classic film which sent shock waves through American culture. Night of the Living Dead is often times credited as the first modern horror movie. Vincent Price and his charming antics took a back seat to the mindless hordes of zombies that didn’t just try to kill people, but ate them as well.

Flash forward forty years and we have audio tribute to that wonderful movie. Tonight of the Living Dead is a long melancholic walk through the shadows in George Romero’s world. It is a compilation of sound that evokes the raw grittiness of the film. In the movie, you see Barbara’s horrific flight from a zombie that killed her brother. With Tonight of the Living Dead, you actually feel it.

The great news from 400 Lonely Things’ twitter feed is that more albums have been printed, so if you’ve been looking to pick yourself up a copy, now is the time to do it. If you love Night of the Living Dead or knows someone who does, then this album is a must buy. You’ll have a deeper connection with the original film and a better understanding of those hungry things that shamble through the dark.
