A World on Fire - A Zombie Blog

Introducing Zombloglypse, an ongoing web series about three twenty-somethings trapped in an apartment after a zombie apocalypse. They endure the daily tedium by recording their experiences in daily blogs. One has to wonder who is their intended audience seeing as how the world has been consumed by the dead, yet, were I in the same position, I’d do the same.

In this episode, titled Shopping, we meet the survivors and right off the bat, you can see that this isn’t the best zombie killing crew. Hannah, the lone woman of the crew, prefers to stay indoors, leaving both Miles and Tony to do the heavy lifting. This is unfortunate being she’s the most together of the group. Miles and Tony tend to get caught up in their own banter that they don’t recognize any danger until it is literally crawling on them. Yet they manage to endure in spite of all the odds.

In this first episode, Hannah realizes that they are low in supplies and sends out both Miles and Tony to the local supermarket. The fellas decide to “go freestyle” into the building. That is, they choose to forsake carried weapons for improvised ones. Needless to say, things aren’t well thought out, resulting in a stolen car, a long walk, and an epic knitting session. This is fun stuff.

The show is pretty funny and although the first episode is more of a slow burn, I can say that the series really gets up to speed. Check it out. It’s worth your time.
