After a rather heated matchup, Return of the Living Dead moves forward into the next round, setting up an interesting matchup. Now we move into the final four. Only a couple of more matchups and we have our second banana.

In a 1950s-era alternate universe where domesticated zombies play a functional role in society by delivering the milk, carrying the mail, and even helping out with household chores, one boy is about to find out just how big of a personal responsibility “pet” ownership truly is. When the Earth passed through a cloud of space dust and the dead arose from their graves to devour the flesh of the living, it first seemed that all hope for humanity was lost. Day of the Dead, the third and concluding chapter in George Romero’s zombie trilogy is the most distinctly 1950s-style science fiction version of the lot. The handful of surviving humans have taken refuge in an underground missile silo and argue and yell at each other like players in a Rod Serling Twilight Zone episode. Among the survivors are Sarah (Lori Cardille) — a scientist who is trying to reverse the process whereby the dead turn into flesh-eating, irrational zombies — and Dr. Logan (Richard Liberty) — an out-of-his-mind psychologist who wants to capture the zombies and turn them into domestic help.
