Today is a special kind of day. Oh yes, today is my daughter’s birthday. Okay, maybe it’s not just my daughter’s birthday, but it is also Friday the 13th. That’s right, make sure your brakes are working or the office building’s elevator has been checked, because if something is going to happen, it’s going to happen today. Or maybe not. In any case, The Huffington Post is running a quick photo journal of Friday the 13th superstitions.

Just a quick correction for the article. It mentions that the thirteenth tarot card is the Death card. Don’t ask me how I know this, but the Death card is not a bad card since it signifies an important change. It’s the Devil card that actually symbolizes death. A long time ago, I had a tarot card reading done for me and I drew the Devil card. I was told that someone close to me was going to die. One month later, a good friend of mine was struck by lightning, killing him instantly. I’ve had nothing to do with tarot cards since.
