When I saw this headline, my mind cycled through all the various different post-apocalyptic movies. Was is it The Last Man on Earth or The Quiet Earth? When I clicked on the link and discovered that it was a Roger Corman production, I realized io9′s tongue was planted firmly in its cheek.

I’ve never heard of this Corman picture, but that doesn’t surprise me. The guy was a B movie powerhouse, producing enough sci-fi/horror to cover all of Manhattan in at least three feet of cheese (don’t even try to figure that metaphor out). In this tour-de-force, the army gasses the population killing off everyone over the age of twenty five. The concept sounds intriguing but this Roger Corman we’re talking about. He’s one step evolved from Edward D. Wood Jr, but at least two steps above Michael Bay.

I haven’t seen this movie, but when I do, I’ll post a little afterthought. If you want to see an amazing post-apocalyptic, check out On the Beach. Or better yet, read the book. Both will make you want to slit your wrists, but in a good way :)
