The Zombie Game Experiment

The Zombie Game ExperimentThis is an interesting site that I stumbled into today. The whole idea is to create a new zombie game in order to raise money for Michael J. Fox’s Foundation to battle against Parkinson’s disease. Oh, and you create a zombie game in the process. Here’s the pitch:

This is an experiment in Community Game Development. The public helps to fund the development, which also counts as a “pre-order” for the game, as well as designing this zombie game.

Join our community with a $10 or more donation which funds the development of the zombie game. 25% of the final game’s revenue will go to TeamFox of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Everyone who donates $10.00 or more will be given free access to the final version of the game. Not only do you help to design a zombie game with a fun community, but you also aid in the battle against Parkinson’s disease.

Once you have donated to the fund, you will also gain access to the design forums and you can post your ideas for the zombie game! You will also receive the game for free when it is completed. Help spread the word by telling your guildmates, clan, your favorite forums, chat rooms and others.

Sounds like a great idea for a worthy cause. Check it out.
