Only yesterday I posted Entertainment Weekly’s Top Twenty Five Zombie movies. The community’s consensus was that the list was pretty bogus. I thought to make my own sort of list, but that would be no less controversial. So thinking last night instead of using just my opinion, how about everyone’s opinion. Introducing the zombie bracket. Thirty two movies paired off with one being the victor.

Each day, I would pose the matchup. People would vote on the winner. Movie with most votes would move to the next. If we had a tied matchup, I’d cast the tie breaking vote. Once we have a bracket, you can fill out your own bracket. The ultimate winner will some kind of prize or something. Maybe a copy of Shaun of the Dead.

So we need to fill the bracket with the best zombie movies around. So here’s your change to nominate your favorite zombie flick.

Some initial rules … rage infected humans movies will be treated the same as traditional zombie movies. Remakes are fine. Only individual films can be nominated, not whole the entire series. Movies in production do not count, or movies that have yet to reach wide distribution (I’m thinking Dead Snow on this). Only mass distributed zombie movies count, so your brother-in-laws backyard production doesn’t count (sorry).

The goal here is to build our own best of all time zombie movies. Here’s the working list I have now.
