Ever wanted to know what a city would look like after the apocalypse? There’s a great article over at WebUrbanist aptly titled, “7 Abandoned Cities and Places in Asia”. Some of this stuff is downright creepy like the monastery in Cambodia, surrounded by landmines. There’s even an amusement park tossed in for kicks. The amusement park might be kind of fun if you had a few too many beers, then felt like riding a structurally degrading roller coaster.

On an aside, I was fortunate to graduate a college that soon went out of business in the year 2000. I can’t express how depressing it was to head back to the campus and see a bunch of derelict buildings boarded up and tagged with graffiti. All that it needed was a few zombies and I would have been in a Romero film.
